Every Sunday we faithfully come together as a community to joyfully worship the Lord. Join us Sunday mornings for worship at 10:00 a.m. Throughout the year we also have special services to worship together such as Christmas Eve, Ash Wednesday, and Maundy Thursday. At our worship services, you will be greeted by our church family, hear a Biblical message, and hear stories of God's work. Plus, you will have the opportunity to respond to God through music and prayer.
Expect to be greeted and welcomed by our church family. This is a warm and caring congregation, and we want you to feel at home. We celebrate the Sacrament of the Lord's Supper every first Sunday of the month and on special days during the Christian year. The Sacrament of Communion is open to all Christians who claim Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.
Wear what makes you comfortable. Some men wear jackets and ties, while others wear polo or sport shirts. Some women wear slacks, and others wear dresses. You’ll even see people in Hawaiian shirts or shorts. What matters is not what you wear, but that you are here.
There are several places to park. The main parking lot is just south of the sanctuary. You may also park to the west of the Sanctuary (which is the closest), or by MacDonald Hall. There are handicapped parking spaces in all of the parking. The easiest way to enter the sanctuary is through the main doors.
Entering the sanctuary, your eyes will be drawn to the beautiful stained glass windows that our congregation made. You can read about the history by clicking on this link Stained Glass. You’ll hear music from our chancel choir and organist. You may choose to sing from the hymnal or read the same words printed on overhead screens. Our pastor preaches sermons that are engaging, thought-provoking, and Biblically-based, using stories, humor, and life experiences to help the written Word become the Word of life for you. We hope you’ll leave feeling closer to God and better equipped to live your daily life.
Come to the fellowship time before and after worship. We recognize it is difficult to get to know people when entering a new community and we hope we are able to facilitate those connections in meaningful ways. Every Sunday, we have coffee and fellowship before and after worship in the New Life Center (our fellowship hall at the opposite end of the sanctuary).
The Music Ministry of First Presbyterian Church offers persons of every age and ability a place to discover, nurture, and offer their musical gifts. Our Chancel Choir has an integral role in leading worship through the gifts of their voice and instrument. They practice on Wednesday evenings at 7:00 p.m. and welcome new members to the choir.
